Having spent many years in the world of embroidery, watching the changes going on all around us, I am inspired to create a website with a wider vision. It will include advice (mine and yours) to help new and veteran embroiderers alike to be the best they can be. I wrote columns and features for national and international trade magazines for over twenty years. I also wrote two embroidery textbooks in the hopes that my experience, and the shared experience of others, especially students at my trade seminars, would be available for the benefit of all.
We are planning to have our own magazine here where my Hart of Embroidery column will once again bring you monthly tips, tricks, and ideas. If you would like to contribute to this magazine please write to us (hart@helenhart.com) with your qualifications and ideas and help us create a magazine for embroiderers by embroiderers. The newbie will not be overlooked; we all have to begin somewhere… we all have to learn to fly.
Over the years I have dabbled in the online selling of my creations and vintage items and will bring my products here, independently, with no middleman. I plan to share the ups and downs of online selling and certainly welcome your input and experience so that we can make the journey smoother for all those who wish to live on and beyond that edge.
